Established in 2003, AIS has been the go-to source for aerial imaging products and consulting services for numerous customers in the scientific community. We originally focused on automated camera systems for manned aircraft, drawing on our many years of experience in aerial photography, electronic design, mechanical fabrication, and computer programming.
In 2005, we were drawn into the fledgling community of VTOL UAS developers, ultimately focusing on multi-rotor helicopters designed specifically for aerial photography.
We offer a variety of solutions for acquiring aerial images from manned aircraft and a family of unmanned hexacopters and quadrocopters purpose-built for acquiring high resolution photographs in remote locations. Most of our customers are marine biologists, who use our products to study endangered species at both ends of the earth and many places in between.
